Biography
My name is Nicholas "Nick" Reinarts, and I am an Assistant Professor of Economics with the Delaplaine School of Business at Hood College. I earned my B.S. in Economics from Florida Southern College in 2017, graduating summa cum laude, and my M.A. in Economics from Troy University in 2019. After graduating from Troy University, I pursued my Ph.D. in Business Administration at Mississippi State University and studied under the direction of Dr. Claudia Williamson Kramer. In the summer of 2020, I departed Mississippi State and transferred to Middle Tennessee State University to pursue my Ph.D. in Economics, which I earned in the summer of 2024. My research interests include international economic development, public choice, and institutional economics. I also research how government policies affect socioeconomic outcomes for disabled individuals. I come from Merritt Island, Florida, a small community surrounding NASA's Kennedy Space Center. I was born with Spina Bifida, a neurological disability, and as such I have been wheelchair-bound for my whole life.
